Milkshake

German: Milchshake Also known as: Milkshake, Milch-Shake

Cold, creamy blended drink made from milk and usually ice cream, often with fruit, syrup or chocolate.

A milkshake is made by blending cold milk and usually ice cream until frothy and thick. Flavour comes from fruit, fruit syrup, chocolate, vanilla or caramel. It is sometimes topped with whipped cream.

Milkshakes are particularly common in fast-food restaurants, where they are often made from a ready-made shake mix in special machines. Ready-to-drink shakes are available in shops and usually count as milk mixed products. Because of ice cream and sugar, milkshakes are more of a dessert than a thirst quencher.
